“Misty Mtn Scout Smiles for U”- CD, NCA DD, NCA WD, RN, CGC, TDI
Every now and again a breeder breeds a puppy that she knows is
special. Although all of the puppies from his litter were wonderfully
sweet, gentle and kind, Scout seemed to be more than that from day
one. As soon as he learned to crawl and then walk, Scout sought out
human companionship, rather than spending time in play with his
siblings. The “smile” that he constantly wore on his beautiful face
was charming. There was no doubt that he was special from birth.
As every breeder knows, unfortunately, even though we’d like to keep
those special pups, we breed so that others may have the love and
devotion each dog shows us. Scout’s Mom, Sabrina, had been on my
puppy waiting list for the longest time, and when going through my
list, I knew I needed an exceptional home for this beautiful boy.
Without a doubt, the day Sabrina and Rin came to take Scout home, they
also took a piece of my heart. Sabrina was able to give Scout 24/7
care, taking him to work with her on a daily basis as a lifeguard at a
public school, where he flourished in the environment of constant
human contact.
Everyone who has encountered Scout has been enamored with his easy
going personality and his genuine love of humanity. Be they young or
old, people are attracted to him because of his good nature and
beautiful spirit. Had he been able to be shown (retained testicle
since birth), he undoubtedly would have been our first Versatility
Newfoundland, and although the title and subsequent recognition would
have been nice, more importantly to us is his ability to show the
world the true character and disposition of the Newfoundland breed.
He is a wonderful ambassador of his breed, and we couldn’t be more
proud of him!
Thank you so much, Sabrina and Rin, for loving our wonderful boy so
abundantly and for realizing his full potential!! Scout, your first
Mom and Dad (both two and four legged) are SO proud of you!!
